If i buy an iTunes gift card can i use that to pay for my Apple Music subscription for a month instead of the money coming out of my bank account?

Yes. iTunes Gift card credit can be used to pay for Apple Music.

Simply redeem the gift card onto your account, and when the Apple Music subscription renews, it will use the gift card credit balance in you account automatically, before using your other payment method.
