Photos from my photo stream show up in a location I've never been in

I'm trying to delete duplicates and a bunch of photos taken in Florida are showing that they are from Adrar in Algeria. I've never been there. This is too creepy for me. How did this happen?? And how do I fix it?

sometimes there is simply an error in Apple's location database or a transmission error, for example the longitude could have the wrong sign - east instead of west, and then the Florida pictures will show as having been taken in Africa. i had once pictures taken in Norway showing as taken in Antarctica. It fixed itself after some time.
