Right earphone not working

On two pairs of earphones, the right earphone isn’t working. I saw posts saying to adjust the hearing in the settings. When I did that I tried sliding it all the way to the right and suddenly the earphone started to work, but when I brought it back down to the middle it stopped working again. And it hasn’t worked since. I have an iPhone XS Max
