I read some questions about the icons disappeared after the last iPad update to IOS 12.2. I had the same problem. One of the solution is reset the home screen layout that it seems didnt work for some people. I imagine it will reset to the original icons screen. I have important icons that I need to restore and I cant reset to the original. I would like to know how to restore this icons

One last thing to try:
Go to Settings > Your Name, iCloud, iTunes & App Store
Tap iCloud
Tap iCloud Backup
See when last backup successfully completed
If the backup was before you did the iOS update, you can restore your iPad from iCloud backup.

Tap your photo in the upper right hand corner
Tap Purchased
Tap not on this iPad
Next to any app which you no longer see on your device tap the cloud next to it and the app should redownload to your device.
Sorry in my case it is not simple, there are some other procedures that I have to go to the bank and I’m away.
I will try to recover the previous version by iCloud. Probably I can’t update the iPad anymore because this issue will remain

All icons, it remains just the native icons. It is iPad mini 4 and update the last version 12.2
yes it can be reinstalled again but some icons like bank account is set up and I can’t lose it
