Turning off Facebook comments

I’m admin for a Facebook group, and until a couple of days ago, I had the option to turn comments off for any posts by selecting the three dots to the top right & choosing from the menu. This was the same for my iPhone and my iPad.

When I tried to do this today, the turn off commenting option has disappeared.; does anyone know why this is & how to correct it?
