Batteries are consumables. They start losing capacity the day they are manufactured. Further, battery capacity is not measured in months, days or years - it is measured in full charge cycles, and for Apple batteries, that means 500 full charge cycles will reduce the life by roughly 20% (to 80%), and that's what the phone is guaranteed for. There's also some variation in the battery health gauge. For the best readings you should check it at the same state of charge every time, preferably right after charging the phone to 100%. Here's a lot more information on battery charging and life-->When to charge your iPhone or iPad - Apple Community.

If you have a Mac you can download the app coconut battery, which will tell you how many full charge cycles your battery has expended.

Unless you are having some sort of problem with your phone or your close to the end of your warranty, there is no reason to be bothering with Battery Health. It will go down. Check it about a month before your phone's warranty ends. If it's below 80%, make an appointment to have the battery swapped out before the end of your warranty. Otherwise, don't worry about it.

This is a problem that many iPhone XS users are facing and even i faced it. There is a way that can fix this issue and your iPhone will no longer drop the battery life that much faster.

First of all see the tips to how to extend the battery life on your iPhone XS

Second the most important and golden tip that i discovered is to not to upgrade iPhone to any iOS update too soon. When Apple releases the beta versions that are for testing purpose. So always make sure when apple releases any software update don't upgrade to quickly. At least wait for 2, 3 weeks. See the reviews of users using the iOS update. If you find positive response of users then update otherwise wait for new version.
