i had a pop up saying my iphome had been compromised and Immediate actions are requied then to download sheild vpn. is that a scam or real

If the pop up appeared while browsing the Internet then try closing Safari and then go to Settings>Safari and selecting “Clear History & Website Data”.
That’s providing you didn’t install anything and you just ignored the pop up.
