HomePod issues

I bought two of these thinking they'll be the bees knees and am disappointed with general performance. Alexa runs rings around it.. it works then it doesn't with my Hue lighting, slightest issue stops it working. Sometimes it doesn't understand instructions. Am I the only one or do many people have issues with them?

HomePod and Phillips hue My homepod is no longer able to control lights in my home (Philips Hue) after the latest software updates. All my other devices can (MacBook Air, MacBook Pro, iPhone) so I have to use those instead of just using "Hey Siri" with the homepod. I've reset it but still not working just responds that it's having a problem and then I use my phone and it successfully turns on/off lights while the homepod is still thinking. Any ideas about how this may be fixed?

HomePod original not responding to “hay Siri “ Hi guys i have a HomePod original in my living room and a HomePod mini in my bedroom, when I ask Siri a question only the mini responds when I'm in the living room. It was working fine last week. Reset HomePod original and removed it and re added it to the home app but it’s still not responding. Any suggestions? TIA

It’s not known for being the best smart speaker.

It just sounds better.
