Why can’t I update my iPhone 5 to iOS 10.3.3?

Hello,

I've just brought a refurbished iPhone 5 after giving up on Samsung. I can’t get the phone to update, I have the option to press ‘install update’ but the grey timer circle just goes round for a split second and doesn’t update. Will I be able to update this phone? Or does this new update not support the iPhone 5?

Thank for any help!

iPhone 5, iOS 8

Yes. The iPhone 5 can update to iOS 10.3.3.

If the update is not working over Wifi, you may need to use iTunes on your computer.

Note that if its an iPhone 5s it can update all the way to iOS 12, and as such cannot update to iOS 10 at this point.
