I want buy an unlocked Iphone XR on the website Apple USA. I have a cousin who lives in California and my idea is to put her address because she will be coming to Brazil. My question is whether, being unlocked has no danger of getting here and not working

If you buy an unlocked phone from Apple directly (either online or in a store and SPECIFY THAT YOU WANT AN UNLOCKED PHONE -you have to ask explicitly - then it will work in Brazil. However, it will have to be returned to the US if it ever needs service.
