How to stop dictation using car's radio

When connected to Bluetooth in my vehicle everything goes through my cars audio. How can I prevent this from happening when using voice dictation

Bluetooth call / media sound turn on / off Dear Community! I have a problem with the bluetooth connection in my car. Usually I hear the radio and make some calls through the bluetooth connection and sometimes I use my phone for navigation. The problem is that I don’t hear the navigation sounds. I think the phone plays through it as a bluetooth media sound but because of i’m hearing the radio, my car doesn’t “play” it. I would like to turn off on my phone the bluetooth media playing with my car and use it only for calls. How can i do it? And the other problem in the same topic with my bluetooth speaker. I don’t want it to use for calling, only for media playing. How can i turn the calling off? I’m a new ios use, in android i had the option for all paired bluetooth devices to turn on/off the media or call sounds.

car radio overrides my bluetooth choice on iPhone Hi. I use bluetooth connection for handsfree communication in my car. I also connect a bluetooth headset for use when outside my car. What happens is that when I call, or recieve a call, I choose by which means I want to speak. I touch my ear to use headset, I pick up my phone and answer directly or touch car radio. However, the radio is dominant and overrides me if I choose to call, or respond, directly or by headset. The moment I get connected with the other caller, the radio takes over and I have to manually open speaker options an choose again. Very annoying! Deleting the radio bluetooth connection is not an option, as I also stream music and podcasts. Does anyone know how to resolve this? My software is updated and I have tested various devices, both v.4 and v.5 always with the same result. Looking forward to any respons.

Talking on My Phone in My Car over Bluetooth If I get a phone call while driving, my phone doesn't always switch to bluetooth. Often I can't hear anything at all. When this happens, I can click on the iPhone's speaker button to pop up a menu with three choices: iPhone, Speaker, and my car's bluetooth. As soon as I choose bluetooth, I can hear my caller fine. But when I'm driving, the last thing I want to do is take my eyes off the road to mess with a popup menu! It's not even legal in my state. This is unsafe. It's a very bad design. (I drive a 2008 Prius. My car's BT just handles phone calls, so I always plug my phone into my car's audio jack for music. That may be confusing the phone.) It would be ideal if my iPhone always used my car's bluetooth when it's available. I can't find a way to do that. It should be the default setting. Is there a way to tell my phone to do that?
