Hi all, I've emailed a .sp file to myself (I was doing infrared spec in chem lab) and I can't open the file and don't know how...is there a program that can do so? i can't open it in excel or word or textedit...no options left to my understanding.
I need some massive help here, it so happens i have labs on monday and have reports due on wednesday, so help would be GREATLY appreciated.
Thanks.

I assume you would need the equivalent of the program that created them but
a version that runs on Mac? What created them? What are you expecting the
contents to be? Ascii or binary? Have you opened one on Mac before?
I have never done this on mac before and i have no idea what ascii or binary even means. I guess i should have noted the program and attained it on mac but im sure it would have been very expensive to buy just to use it for this one experiment.
Sorry maybe i dont have enough information for this to be resolved its the most i know of that it is an .sp file.
If you don't know what the file contains and what format it is in, what
were you hoping to achieve with it? If it is from the Micrografx software
package then it will cost money. Can you check at the chem lab to get more
information?
