Clipboard character limit?

Trying to copy fairly long Quark files into Pages. Works ok, but I don't get all of the QX file - is there a character limitation on Clipboard?

Thanks.

I know you're not supposed to answer your own questions, but...

Answer (i.e. useful workround) is:

1) Open the QX document, single click in the text box. (No need for selecting further than that).

2) File/save text/save as Word Doc (e.g. to your desktop).

3) Open Pages. File New. File/Open, navigate to that Word Doc, open.

4) Wait a few seconds while it loads and opens, complete, in your new Pages document.

And that's it - cuts out Clipboard, and is easy and accurate.

Hi Allen,

There's nothing wrong with answering your own questions.

Sometimes having to compose the question is enough to set you on the path to solving the issue.

Nor is there any 'rule' preventing you from making those answers as "Solved." by clicking the Solved button below your reply.

As the OP, you won't get the points usually attached to that 'solved' mark, but your action will mark the question as solved, and insure that your answer will always appear immediately after the question, making it easier to find by anyone arriving with a similar question in future.

Barry
