Change order of episodes to play earliest to lastest

I want to listen to podcasts in order (part 1 then part 2 etc) but I can’t seem to figure out how to change it. I’m running latest iOS on iPhone 8+

playing podcasts in order by publish date under the downloaded section, I have it sorted by date published. Is it possible to play podcasts in that order regardless of what the show is? currently it will play by date published but it stays on 1 podcast. I hope that makes sense. Iphone XR iOS 14.6

CarPlay and Podcasts ignores "downloaded" list from iPhone I keep only 3 episodes of my podcasts on my iPhone. I play my podcasts from the Downloaded list, allowing me to play the oldest first and play them in downloaded order. CarPlay in my car has no route to reach the downloaded list. I checked for previous discussions on this problem and found this: CarPlay and Podcasts doesn't show downloa… - Apple Community I have already tried setting podcasts to play from the Downloaded list before connecting my iPhone to my car, but CarPlay just ignores my instruction. When the episode I'm listening to finishes, it goes on to play other episodes from the same show. It seems CarPlay has been built to deliberately exclude the Downloaded list. It also seems CarPlay ignores the choice made from my iPhone. Has anyone come across any circumventions or resolutions? [Edit: the device in the post details is incorrect. It is an iPhone 7 running iOS 15.7.7] Thanks, Chris
