iPad Pro 10.5 2017 keyboard not working

My iPad Pro keyboard become unstable happen from last month. It works sometimes when I put it works on my lap but unstable.

I tried some "magnet fix" and "rubber fix" solution but doesn't help. It is obviously a hardware design problem while I use it only for one year and I am not a heavy user. I have no idea why the 2016 version keyboard could have a free replacement but 2017 version do not while the symptoms are so similar.

Please offer any suggestions please.

Hello Art4ho,

Thanks for visiting the Apple Support Communities and asking for help with the Smart Keyboard.

Please try the troubleshooting in this help article: Use your Smart Keyboard Folio or Smart Keyboard with iPad Pro - Apple Support

If you have gone through the entire article, there is more help at the end to try also:

"Get help

If your iPad Pro doesn't detect your Smart Keyboard Folio or Smart Keyboard or you see an "Accessory not supported" alert on your iPad Pro, make sure there's no debris or plastic covering on the Smart Connector pins on the keyboard or the Smart Connector on the iPad Pro. Also, try these steps:

  1. Make sure that your iPad Pro and Smart Keyboard Folio or Smart Keyboard are in the Type position and that you have the latest version of iOS.
  2. Remove the Smart Keyboard Folio or Smart Keyboard from your iPad Pro.
  3. Restart your iPad Pro.
  4. Reconnect the Smart Keyboard Folio or Smart Keyboard."

Thanks and have a wonderful day.
