Getting message in mail I don't understand

The message:

Cant connect to the account, "cox.net"

then asked to enter password........I have tried all passwords I have and cannot eliminate the message. Truth is.....I don't use cox.net email. We use only our @me.com email.

If you have checked Mail/Preferences/Accounts and there is no Cox account, if Cox is your Internet provider, contact their support.
