Hello - I take multiple screenshots over an entire process in order to create instructions for other users. I'd like to keep the screenshot utility open like any other application. How do I do that? Thank you.
You can't. You can however use the screen shot shortcuts to take as many screen shots as you need.

I don't understand why not. The previous work-around was to just leave an image unsaved, but now even that's gone. Yes, there are key commands, but this means having a list of them handy. I need different screen shots depending on what the instructions are. To me, this is like saying, you can't keep the edit menu open, but there are key commands for everything. I'll just check out a PC and get the work done much faster. Honestly, if my employer didn't require a Mac, I wouldn't have one.
Yes, 2 basic commands if basic is what's needed. Then there are other commands: selected portion, record entire screen, record selected portion, timer with 3 options (needed if you want to show the drop-down menus in the screen shot), show mouse pointer and probably a couple more. Appreciate the help.

Well, there are two basic shortcuts, one to capture the entire screen and one to capture a selection. I guess that's a lot to remember.
