iPad keeps asking me to sign into Apple ID using an email address I have not had for 11 years. Where did this come from? Very annoying.

It's likely asking you to do that because you have apps which were downloaded under that Apple ID. Apps are forever tied to the Apple ID they were downloaded under. You can't update those apps under your new Apple ID, so your iPad is asking you use the ID they were downloaded under. To stop this, delete all the apps which were downloaded under that ID and repurchase them under the current ID.

How do i delete the apps when I have no idea which apps they are. My old email they want me to sign in with is 11 years old. I doubt I downloaded any apps 11 years ago. Thanks for taking the time to help though. Any other hints?
I can’t sign in to my old Apple ID as I no longer have that email and I do not remember the pw.
Did you use that email address on this iPad at one time?
No. We moved in 2008 and cancelled Telus, and are now with Shaw/ The 11 year old email was with Telus.
Then why do you think this iPad is asking you about this email address?
No idea, I'll contact Apple when I have time and let you know if they know what is going on.

Then do what I suggested. Delete all the apps which were downloaded with the previous ID and buy them under the new ID. Problem solved.
