A while ago, my iPhone xs max was charging, but when i plugged it out to use it momentarily and plugged it again, it’s not charging anymore. I used different chargers already, tried it with my iPad (it worked), and did a hard reset, but come to a failure. Is this a hardware problem?

Inspect the charging port with a bright light, and clean it out with a toothpick or similar tool.
There is no charge to visit a Genius Bar and get a diagnosis or apply a software repair. If a hardware repair is required you will be told in advance what it will cost.
The warranty is one year from date of purchase, or if you purchased AppleCare+ when you bought the phone the warranty is extended an additional year. update. I haven't visited the store yet, but I tried charging using a different USB port (not the white one from Apple, or any product from apple). it charged! i used my colleague's port, which is from another brand of phone (5.0V output, input is 0.30A)
Make a appointment with the Apple Genius Bar in your city and let them work on your Iphone and explain the problem(s) that you are having. Let the Genius Bar look at it because its a Apple product. I have not gone to a Genius Bar yet so why don't you call the Apple store and find out if their is a charge or not?
I already did. My phone is experiencing intermittent charging... that's a hardware issue, right?
if my warranty does not cover this, do you know how much it might cost me?
I will visit the apple store later after work. hope that it's covered by my warranty...
