imovie will not upload or download

MacOS Mojave 10.14.3 and imovie 10.1.11 will not download to my computer as a file. Will not upload to Youtube. If I try 100 times over a 4 day period I might get lucky and have one that will work after two or three days of 24 hour processing but that was just one video that got through and three days later I am sitting here ripping my hair out and freaking out about all the wasted work I have done with nothing to show for it and it seems an impossible fix or there is none on the horizon. No hope in sight and no help. I have youtubed all the problems and tried every fix that I found but none of them work. I have freed up lots of memory to make sure that wasnt a problem. Shut down. Signed in again and again with youtube giving imovie permission repeatedly. I am so frustrated I want to smash my $2500 piece of crap Mac that does not work anymore since I upgraded to Mojave and imovies latest release.

iMac 27", macOS 10.14

Often what solves this type of problem is to delete preferences. Have you tried that?

To do that, restart your computer and open iMovie while holding down the Option and Command keys and selecting to delete preferences in the box that appears. iMovie will open in a new library. Reopen your old library to get back to your projects. Now see if you can share out.

If still no luck, try shutting down your computer and booting up in Safe Mode (see the Finder help menu for instructions). After everything loads, immediately shut down and reboot in normal mode. See if that solves it.

You might also consider redownloading iMovie.
