Why is my new MacBook Air 2018 heating up so quickly?

I just got my new MacBook Air 2018 in the mail and within 10-20 minutes of just web browsing, it heats up and gets very hot. Checking it right now, it has cooled down. The only thing I've done was that I turned off my antivirus software. Is it because of the antivirus software that's causing my computer to heat up like that?

Edit: My MacBook still heats up quickly, but not as hot as when the antivirus was on.

MacBook Air 13", macOS 10.14

There usually are bits in the system which can affect the normal performance from

installation of these unneeded softwares; some don't like or want an easy removal.
