MacBook overheating when BigSur installed

So, for whatever reason, my MacBook Pro has been overheating on Big Sur randomly, since when I updated it from MacOS Catalina. I updated it on Thursday, March 25th 2021.

MacBook Pro 13″, macOS 11.2

Give this a try:

How to reset the SMC of your Mac - Apple Support

Reset NVRAM or PRAM on your Mac - Apple Support - 2 to 3 times in succession

Boot into Safe Mode according to Start up your Mac in safe mode - Apple Support and reboot normally then check to see if the problem persists.

NOTE: Safe Mode boot can take up to 10 minutes as it's doing the following;

• Verifies your startup disk and attempts to repair directory issues, if needed

• Loads only required kernel extensions (prevents 3rd party kernel/extensions from loading)

• Prevents Startup Items and Login Items from opening automatically

• Disables user-installed fonts

• Deletes font caches, kernel cache, and other system cache files
