Hi, I'm having trouble getting my iMac to start. Its been sitting in storage for a couple of years. And its old...2012? The power button turns on the computer. I'm greeted with a white screen and a folder with a question mark on it that flashes. Any ideas what I can do?

Try holding down the Option key when you startup and see if it can find the start up volume. If that does not work please reset the NVRAM per the directions in https://support.apple.com/en-us/HT204063. Finally if neither work, then the NVRAM battery may have died and you will need to take it to your local AASP to be replaced.
Go to > If your Mac doesn't turn on or start up - Apple Support and go down that list.
Run the Apple Hardware Test. It is possible the hard drive isn't spinning up after sitting for a couple of years.
