Bug in Preview using "Highlight" annotation tool
This tool does not work for image files .png and .jpeg
Tested and it does work for .pdfs
@Apple - I love Preview... but please fix this.

No this is for image editing, next to the loupe function https://support.apple.com/en-gb/guide/preview/annotate-an-image-prvw1501/10.1/mac/10.14
The lighter area around my sticky won't save to file after the I have highlighted the area I'd like to highlight.
The point is that I cannot add the highlight annotation to an image in the first place. If the functionality is not available for images then ok... but then it should not be available in the UI.

The screenshot in my example will not save to the file.
It would be a useful feature for me and I would rather not have to export to .pdf to make it work.
It doesn't hilight because there's no actual text in an image to hilight. There's nothing to fix.
