my printer (HP Deskjet Ink advantage 1515 suddenly refuses to scan

Hi can anyone advise...I have a MacBook air ,Mojave 10.4.4 and suddenly my HP Deskjet Printer In Advantage 1515 refuses to scan...it just stops in mid-scan?!

Image Capture is a utility app that is located in your Applications/Utilities folder. It has the capability of scanning from a variety of scanners. The same goes for Preview.app. Try them both.


You might try resetting the Printer System. See the section titled Reset the printing system

in this Apple document: If you can't print from your Mac or iOS device - Apple Support


Did you apply any system or application updates/installs prior to this happening?
