Hi can anyone advise...I have a MacBook air ,Mojave 10.4.4 and suddenly my HP Deskjet Printer In Advantage 1515 refuses to scan...it just stops in mid-scan?!

Image Capture is a utility app that is located in your Applications/Utilities folder. It has the capability of scanning from a variety of scanners. The same goes for Preview.app. Try them both.
You might try resetting the Printer System. See the section titled Reset the printing system

Did you apply any system or application updates/installs prior to this happening?

thank you yes tried Image capture...it seems to scan but then I cant find it anywhere, doesn't seem to save?
thanks..just tried resetting..nothing...then following Apple Support prepared to delete the drivers...but after going into Find-Go...couldn't find anything saying Library/Printer???? So gave up!
Have you tried both the built-in Image Capture app as well as whatever scanning software that you get from HP?
