Facebook Marketplace Unexpected error occured

I have the same issue since a couple of days ago yet I can view marketplace adds on a browser on my iPad. Noticed it was getting slow the other day when scanning adds then a couple of days ago it just fails to open individual adds I select - unexpected error - I can still see the main marketplace. My iPhone is fine. Was there a FB update for iPad on 10th?

i have restarted the iPad (holding 2 buttons) and tried re-installed Facebook an messenger. Still no joy.

i see comments about clearing cache on pc’s, i have loads of memory left and not sure you can clear it.

oh, I just looked and FB did an update 3 days ago, supposedly bug fixes, I am guessing they added a bug! My phone possibly still works as it isn’t on auto update, nor will it be. I would like to go back a version on the iPad

Just give it some time. It's likely on the Facebook server side and likely won't require an app update. But they send out updates weekly anyway.

You'll have to wait for Facebook to fix their app.

You can go ahead and update iPhone. Marketplace will work on your phone. The issue is with the Facebook app on iPad.

I’m having the same problem on my IPad but my IPhone and Dell PC are working fine. I dont Think it’s FB.

No, it is the App, not the iPad.

Since I seem to have annoyed you for some reason, I'll just leave this thread altogether. I don't use Marketplace anyway, so it isn't important enough for me to waste my time trying to help people by telling them, there's nothing they can do to fix this on their iPad.

I’m also having the same problem, started late this morning, i was browsing marketplace in the early morning, then went back to it a few hours later & got an unexpected error. My iPad Pro, is on version 12.2. I tried rebooting, problem still exists. I can still view Marketplace on my iPhone 6S Plus.

Marketplace unexpected error started about 4-5 days ago. Why hasn't FB messaged iPad users or posted an info bar as a courtesy? If they know, why have they not rolled back the update, while fixing the current version? Why doesn't common sense apply to tech issues? FB needs to be more communicative with users about broad problems.

I also have a new IPad Air. It was working fine and just recently stopped. Marketplace opens but goes to error message if you try to open a post. I still have my old IPad maybe 6-8 years old and it is working just fine.

For the past couple days I haven’t been able to access FB Marketplace on my IPad Pro, I keep getting an error message that says something went wrong, retry. I can see listings, but if I click on one, I get an error message. I can’t view my listings. But on my iPhone XR, I can view Marketplace with no problem....what’s going on?
