my messages are green with only 1 person

okay, so me and my friends messages are being sent as text message. his are also being sent as text message to me. out messages work fine with everyone else but eachother.

we both have iphones and this suddenly happened, but it’s not the first time. please help. it’s very frustrating. thank you
