Android with same number as iPhone
Lost iPhone so bought new sim to put in Samsung. Same number as iPhone. What happens if I deregister the number on my iPhone? Does it affect the number on the Samsung?

No. It has no effect on the Samsung phone. Your iPhone does not have a number at all any more. The old SIM was deactivated when you got the new one. It's not possible to have the same phone number active on more than one SIM at a time.
