Safari "Stay on Page" pop-up keeps appearing

Every time I go to a website I get the following popup when I go to any link on the site:

It doesn't seem to matter what website, and I have to select 'Leave Page' to continue.

Generally this only happens the first time I navigate away from the original page.

Is there any way to disable or remove this?

I have tried zeroing all Safari caches and restarting machine, and staring Safari with shift key down, but nothing seems to make any difference.

Cheers

EtreCheck is a simple little app to display the important details of your system configuration and allow you to copy that information to the Clipboard. It is meant to be used with Apple Support Communities to help people help you with your Mac.

Use the Note tool on the bottom of this editor's toolbar, as shown in the image, to copy and paste the output from EtreCheck.

There is also Malwarebytes…

Thanks for that. Ran Etrecheck and it highlighted some unsigned files. They were from Nielsen Research for their NetPanel monitoring program, which I had installed. I disabled the Nielsen extension and restarted Safari and the problem has now gone.

I have attempted to contact Nielsen about this, but their response is consistently dismal, so I will leave the extension disabled until I hear from them.
