iPod classic 160 GB (Late 2009)

I want to continue using the two I pod Classics that I purchased. I am asking Apple to help me get the software I need that will support the two devices. I have many Apple devices and need the Software for my iMac that will support my old ipod classics with all updates to newer versions of the ios on my iMac.

Thank You

iPod classic is defined as obsolete in Vintage and obsolete products - Apple Support which means that Apple aren't interested in providing active support for your individual device if you happen to have a problem with it. However that doesn't mean that they've changed iTunes to ignore the device or not work with it. I have an iPod 6th gen. classic running firmware 1.1.2. It connects to iTunes 12.9.5 in both Windows 7 and macOS 10.14 Mojave.
