2nd hand device hardware warranty?

i recently brought a device 2nd hand iphone xr it doesnt turn on and the screen and back are cracked but upon checking the serial number its still in warranty how ever the phone has been opened so does it still qualify to get the screen and housing replaced?

The warranty doesn’t cover accidental damage, so you’ll have to pay for an out of warranty replacement. However, doing that will reinstate the remainder of the original warranty, or provide 90 days coverage on the replacement (whichever period is longer).


But they may also also just refuse service altogether if they determine someone other than an Apple authorized service provider worked on it, or it has non Apple service parts used in it. You’ll have to take it to Apple and let them see it to know.
