Web Address Invalid Safari Cannot Open Web Page - Family Sharing

Hello,

We are having an issue setting up family sharing on my Wife's iPhone 6 with iOS 12. As the Family Organizer, I sent her the invitation link via my MacBook Pro from Settings - iCloud. She received the link but when she taps set up sharing from the web link, Safari then displays the error message, "Web Address Invalid".

I have already looked at the one article here on Communities whereby the Apple Support staff sends the poster to a help page for sharing, nowhere does that support page address this issue.

Does anyone have a solution to this issue?

Hi

I believe those links expire after a specified amount of time, can I suggest you sent it again. Also your wife can join your family sharing group by other means including on your device. she will need to enter her security details

Hi,

We tried the link immediately after sending so the issue apparently appears to be when connecting from the link on her phone, possibly with Safari or the link address itself. This DOES work with iMessage, no issues. Problem solved.
