disk utility

Hello

1- in disk utility if i choose APPLE HDD WDC WD10EALX-408EA0 Media volume then i erase it can this function erase entire my hard disk ? my iMac is a bit low and i want erase my entire disk for fix it.

i send an attachment for better understanding .

2- do you know any solution for more speed for iMac .such as program or any appplication in apple store?

Yes, that will reformat the entire disk, or you could click on the disclosure triangle and choose the lower indented icon representing your Mac HD volume and Erase.


There's no good solutions to speed up your Mac, other than installing an SSD or more RAM if needed.


If it's still slow after you finish  run Etrecheck  It is a diagnostic tool that's very useful to us in finding problems. Also it will give us further specs on your Mac. After it runs post the log file here. It will contain no personal information.


To post the log file click on share report and use the Page icon in your reply window. See video:
