When I listen to music the sound on the headset is very hard to hear

Unplug them, get a flashlight and check the connector for dirt/lint/debris/obstructions. Clean carefully with a toothpick.

Try the headphones on another device. If they work there is a problem with your iPhone, if they don't then replace the headphones.
