No sound from headphone 3.5mm after update 10.14.4

At my school we tested at least 4 Macs who upgraded to 10.14.4.

None will get sound out of headphone jacket. Tried 4 cables.

The sound panel never even shows the possibility to choose it.

We had one macbook with 10.14.3 and it works.

This must be a large issue. But I can´t find info about it.

If one lets the computer sleep and the music is on through speakers even though 3.5mm is plugged in, it will produce some bumps when exiting sleep and the headphone jack is activated and sound is ok.

But if I take it out and plug it in, the same thing happens.

I asked because some Macs have a jack that switches between analog and digital outputs. The ones you have don't. I asked what is listed because when the jack is broken it would say "Digital Output".

Try resetting their SMCs.
