Is there a way to add time code to video on import

Is there a way to add time code to video on import to become part of the clip or can only a time code window be added?

Double timeline I occasionally have the task of trimming a video by timecode. Videos are two hours long and I feel uncomfortable when I need to edit/delete a certain piece, because the video timings shift in time. Is there any way to edit the video and see the original and current timings?

Copying timecode to clipboard Hello community, How do I copy a timecode from a sequence or clip to the clipboard? So that I can report that timecode to someone else. This is easy on FCP7, you press tab and it automatically selects the current timecode from the timeline. FCPX is proving to be very difficult to do some easy tasks from FCP7... Thank you very much.

I have complete project on Time line BUT i noticed that i need a clip to be added .The original video from which i have dropped the clips is no more on Imovie but is there on my photos app .how can i bring a small clip from that How to add a clip from my original video on to the time line.the video is in the photos app

There is a Timecode generator that you can add to the timeline.

You can choose to use either the source or project timecode.

If you want to permanently have the timecode superimposed onto a clip you can use this with the Open Clip command.
