itunes and books

Am I the only one suffering big issue with iTunes on latest Mojave (and previous version to 10.14.5) ?

Itunes for my iPad keeps on bringing up a different selection of books and keeps on deleting books I am reading when I charge or synch iPad pro.

This is a crazy situation to continue for so long.

any ideas please ?

see 2 screen shots then a minute apart, first iTunes book selection, quit iTunes and restart, different book selection.
