Retention of emails on my iPhone 10X

At present all emails sent and received remain on my iPhone for 2 days only. I would like them retained for 10 days in case I want to refer to them easily. How can I extend the length of time they remain accessible on my phone?

My Mac computer retains them for an indefinite period of time.
