Macbook Pro - Trackpad stuck issue, related to battery?

Try resetting NVRAM/PRAM http://support.apple.com/kb/ht1379

I wouldn't take any chances. Turn it off, unplug it, and take it to an Apple service center. If it is the battery (and it is possible) continuing to use the computer is the worst thing you could do.
