Apple Intelligence is now available on iPhone, iPad, and Mac!
This evening when I opened my iPad the start screen showed a big red x instead of my apple provided wall paper. It went away and the wall paper reappeared after I entered my pass code. Does anybody know what’s going on?
I have a 5th generation iPad running iOS 12.2..

Have you tried restarting your ipad since seeing the red X?
Restart your iPhone, iPad, or iPod touch
Also, make sure your iOS software is up to date.
Update your iPhone, iPad, or iPod touch
Is seeing the red X just a one time thing or have you seen this several times?

I did restart successfully, and as a precaution reset the iPad. Everything is updated. So far it has only happened once, but it happened while I am traveling abroad, so my main concern is whether my iPad’s security has been compromised.
