Apple Pay on my watch is not working.

I am trying to pay with online order from my MAC desktop. I was told to click the side button. It doesn't work. I ended using PayPal. Which I hate, because if I have to do a return I won't get the full credit back. Why doesn't it work on my watch??

After WatchOS 8 update Apple Pay is not working I have recently updated my Apple Watch to WatchOS 8. After that I cannot pay using Apple Pay. After tapping the side button twice payment menu activates but any terminal reacts when Apple Watch is brought to it. Payment on the iPhone with the same card goes through. It looks like some NFC issue on the watch or something. Please help.
