Naming file when Print to pdf
I print to pdf all the time. Is there a way to have it ask for a file name? I have to open finder and rename the file every time.

What App are you printing from? I assume maybe Mojave/10.14.x?
In the Print Dialog is there a PDF>Save as PDF choice at bottom left?
Command P works but I was thinking adding something to the printer workflow menu. I use that now to save the pdf to diffrent folders. I would like for it to ask for a file name. Should have put that info in the original post..
You could write a script and assign it to a function key. I use keyboard maestro. There are others. I've never been ablte to get macos > keyboard > short keys -- to do what I want.
prehaps you could do all with the paid app keyboard maestro. You could try it out for free. I have not tried what below. It's only a guess. You can write an applescript to do what you want within the app.
