Burning partial songs onto a cd

I'm making a playlist for a wedding and I need to have a couple of them with just part of the song. I can't figure out how to do that. Any help would be great...

  1. Select a track to use as the source. You cannot use an Apple Music item, or anything that is in the cloud.
  2. On the Get Info > Options tab set start and stop times as required.
  3. Under Edit > Preferences > General tab > Import Settings choose your desired format, e.g. AAC Encoder > High Quality 128k.
  4. Use File > Convert > Create <format> version.
  5. Reset the start and stop times on the original track.
  6. Use the new shorted copy in your playlist.
  7. Repeat as necessary.
