Pioneer car stereo will not remember Bluetooth connection

When I connect my iPhone X to my pioneer AVH-Z2050BT car stereo the Bluetooth works fine, but when I turn the stereo off and on again the Bluetooth connection is lost from the head unit. I have to search again to make it connect.

I have heard that you have to register the connection but can not see that as an option. Any help?
