Ipad activation lock

HI,

So I have an ipad that I am trying to find an owner for? it was left at my work over 5 months ago and I charged it up and under the activation lock it says that it has been stolen/erased. So how am I suppose to either get past the activation lock or how can I see who own's this ipad?
