Do my Macbook support Mojave?

Is my mac compatible with Mojave?

MacBook Pro (13-inch, Mid 2012)

Processor- 2.5 GHz Intel Core i5

Ram- 8 GB 1600 MHz DDR3

Storage- 256 SSD.

Graphics- Intel HD Graphics 4000 1536 MB

All the info I have read indicates that my MacBook Pro is not hardware compatible with Mojave. Is this correct? I am not in a position to purchase a new MacBook Pro at this time. MacOS Mojave supported iMacs Wow. I have an iMac late 2009 12GB and it's not on the supported list. Reason why? Other than marketing? It runs great, super reliable.
