Hi,
Whenever I record any video or audio on my iPhone X, there is an excessive amount of background static noise that is very noticeable on all of them.
Im sure this is a manufacturing issue/fault with the phone. Can someone shed some light on this? Should I take it in to Apple?

You might try this:
Go to Settings > General > Accessibility > Phone Noise Cancellation. Is it on? If not, turn it on and try again.

I tried the first possibility you suggested and it was already turned on.
The second suggestion I had already tried and tested a few times when I was first looking for possible fixes.
Both unfortunately have not resolved my issue. The testing on the mic checks I did interestingly gave a similar result on all the tests, a lot of background static.
i just don’t want to assume that’s normal, considering my previous iPhone never seemed to have this issue.
