iPhone 8 logic board replacement

Hi All,

Curious what you all think of the iPhone 8--I want to upgrade from my trusty 5S, but concerned about the logic board manufacturing defect. Apple is covering it now, but often they discontinue the program without pre-announcement.

I hear people really like the 8 and in my small circle, no one has had problems...wondering how ubiquitous this logic board issue is.

Thank you!

iPhone 5s, iOS 12

It is reportedly a very small proportion of units. And their is no surprise end date for the extended service program. It ends for any person exactly 3 years after their iPhone 8’s date of original retail sale by Apple or an Apple Authorized reseller.
