no icloud backup found -

I recently messed up my phone, and i tried to use an older phone temporarily until my new phone comes in.

When i went ro setup the older phone to use with my itunes, it shows that I do not have any icloud backups.

I logged into icloud.com only to find that my contacts are not there as well. (I also checked google contacts to make sure I wasnt backing them up there)

Any ideas why I dont have my backups? BTW, I have been backing up my iphone for years, so there should be something there.
