how do i change the county on a childs accoun

Hi. I have just moved county’s and am trying to switch the country on the apple accounts for our family. I have changed over my wife and my accounts but can’t change our 7 year olds account. We have family share set up. It looks like her account is stuck between the two country’s she now can’t download apps from either country. It looks like the account is set to the UK but that the store on her iPad is still set to NZ. Please help.

Hi Phillipshouse11,

Welcome to Apple Support Communities. I understand that you're running into some trouble trying to change the region associated with a child Apple ID account. I see that the Apple ID account information appears to have accepted the change, but the iPad still shows your previous country in the iTunes & App Store. I can see why you'd reach out for assistance with this; I'd like to help. Since you mention that her Apple ID information is accurate, I'd recommend signing out of the iTunes & App Store on her iPad, then sign back in to see if the information is updated properly:

  • Tap Settings > iTunes & App Store > Apple ID > Sign Out
  • Restart the iPad: Restart your iPhone, iPad, or iPod touch
  • Tap Settings > iTunes & App Store > Sign In > Country/Region, verify the correct country is listed

If you still see the incorrect country or region listed in the iTunes & App Store on her device, reach out to iTunes using the "Want to talk with someone?" section here: iTunes Support

Best Regards.
